I Could Do That!
I Could Do That! is a half day programme run by Prospects in the City for unemployed people as part of the Work Programme.
I Could Do That! gives individuals the unique opportunity to visit key employers and learn first hand what is required for a successful career in a variety of occupational areas eg. Maintenance, Hospitality, Catering, Retail. Administration, Information Technology, Tourism, Construction.
Programme details
The I Could Do That! programme lasts for half a day from 10.00 until 12.30 or from 1.00 – 3.30.
The I Could Do That! programme will be tailored to meet the needs of the group that are not in employment.
The I Could Do That! programme will start with a briefing session, which will include an overview of the jobs which exist in the geographical areas we are visiting eg. City ofLondon. Southwark, Lambeth, Hackney, Merton, Sutton andGreenwich.
During the day the group will visit 2 employers in each geographical area.
Individuals will have the chance to talk to those who recruit about the qualities and skills they are looking for and what they expect from their employees.
At the end of the day we will summarise where we have been and what we have learned and what individuals need to do next.
