Careers in Practice – Finance

Finance is a tough career to get in to, and financial related degree courses look for students who are properly prepared and who have done their research. 

Prospects in the City is able to help with that preparation by offering students real experience with real finance professionals in London.

Our unique two day intensive programme will cover all aspects of the world of finance and students will learn first hand what it is like to work in Banking, Insurance, Accountancy and a variety of other positions. The programme includes visits to some of London’s key financial institutions including The Bank of England, Bloomberg, Savi Trading, HSBC and Mizuho Banks and ISDA – The International Swaps and Derivatives Association.

The programme will also cover the UCAS application procedure, how to shine at university interview, and resources that can help.

The programme is aimed at students in Year 11 to 13 and will provide information that will improve their chances of getting on to a   finance based degree or improve their chances at interview.

 Finance Careers in Practise will provide students with the practical experience necessary to improve chances of selection.

 The programme will be run by finance professionals, university admissions tutors and specialist careers advisers.

 When:          Thursday February 16th and Friday February 17th 2012

 Time:            Each day will start at 9.30 and finish at 4.30

 Cost:            £200 (incl vat)
